The Recieving Blues
Last night was a little hard on me, but I think because I havn't done actual laboring work in a while. I can already tell that I'm getting more muscle though. Yesterday I threw the 9000 piece truck with Derron. We were doing great the first part of the truck, then we hit this pannel that was covered in laundry soap. One or two bottles of it burst. We could hardly stand, muchless keep the line straight and where we wanted it. It took us extra long because we were trying to keep the line close to us. So we couldn't really keep our footing, which we did as we were slipping and sliding. We did end up dropping a lot of boxes though. After I was out of that truck, I could feel my right arm straining because I lift with it so much. Which really didn't make it better when one of the guys threw a huge box of toothpaste at me to catch. I caught it wrong and almost broke my wrist. I heard it pop a few times and stuff. Still hurts, but I'll live. I think I'll put my mom's ice pack on it in a little bit. And not to mention, I dropped a fuckin pallet on my foot. And now it's bruised. Well, I think that's my complaining for today. I still like being in recieving, it just hurts sometimes. Catch ya later. Hai |
